Penama is an arts and culture group consisting of 95 members who are involved in the written arts such as poems, pantun, gurindam and others. Since its inception in 1971, the group has witnessed active growth and currently comprises numerous poets and writers. Penama is also involved in the presentation and publishing of art books. The group organises several activities such poetry competitions, sayembara deklamasi puisi peringkat negeri melaka dan kebangsaan, theatre performance and many others.
